Product quality assurance and the ability to track raw materials, processes, operators and finished products... all reasons to implement traceability. This customer needed to track ingredients supplied by different manufacturers and suppliers. Base mixes of Ice Cream and Gelati needed to be produced via recipes, mixing instructions and forced batch weights. Integration to electronic scales insured that the correct amounts of ingredients were being loaded into mixers and matched the recipes. The ability to use semi-finished products (the base, unflavoured mixes) into the finished products allowed complete traceability from the raw materials, semi-finished goods,finished products, container sizes and who the products were sold to. Easy one-click reporting allows the tracking of what materials went into what finished goods and who they were sold to ensures easy product recall or customer communications.
