Primary producers have very diverse needs when it comes to tracing and tracking raw materials and processes involved in the growing of produce. The physical field that grows the produce can be tracked via a "premise ID" (farm) and more specifically, field (supplier) identifiers. Seed lot numbers and suppliers, Fertilizer applications, amounts and timing are also tracked. Farm equipment and operators can also be tracked... anything that affects or handles the produce can be tracked. Assure your customers of organic processes by being able to prove the source of all inputs to the final product. Even the packaging and containers are considered in the traceability information. Start out as simple as needed and evolve into full traceability as needs or customers demand.
Here's an example of TraceAll being used at a Tomato producer in Mexico.
